An official event of the National Trust Heritage Festival 2015, guided tours of one of the oldest churches in Queensland are offered on the hour as well as the opportunity for informal visits.The Reverend Benjamin Glennie was instrumental in the building of the Richard Suter designed Gothic sandstone church in 1868. A number of extensions were completed in 1940 at a cost of nearly $700,000.00 in today's dollars. There are a number of notable things to see including the pipe organ, a memorial to those parishioners who died in the 1st World War, The beautiful stained glass windows in the nave are dedicated in memory of the early benefactors of the church. They are regarded as the finest collection by the renowned stained glass window maker, William Bustard. On the Saturday, there will be a jewellery and cake sale from 8:30am to noon. A Heritage Tea Room will operate all weekend offering morning and afternoon teas and light lunches.
