The Australian Burlesque Museum is proud to announce the grand opening of its first exhibition entitled "Icons".

The exhibition will showcase the pioneer performers of Australian Burlesque, both locally and internationally. The exhibition will include iconic costumes, video footage, props, photos and newspaper articles from these performers.

Some of the featured performers include:
- Moira Finucane – Creator of the worldwide smash Burlesque Hour
- Imogen Kelly – Miss Exotic World
- Mark Captain Windmill – King of Boylesque
- Lola Montgomery – The worlds only Dr of Burlesque

This is a free exhibition so everyone can enjoy our Burlesque history. Donations however can be made to the ongoing research and exhibitions of the Australian Burlesque Museum through our website or at the Gallery.

The Australian Burlesque Museum is an organization dedicated to the research, preservation and celebration of Australian Burlesque past and present.

Australia is a unique country with a fascinating history, so it's no surprise that Burlesque as a performance style developed so differently here than anywhere else in the world. The ABM wishes to research this history, and celebrate the amazing women and men who bumped and grinded their way across Australian stages.
