Get set for a bluesrock history lesson when Wollongong’s own “The Himalayas” take to the Uni’s stage on Sunday 25th October.
This power trio formed early in 2015 and is comprised of Johnny Brown on guitar and vocals, Audrey Bedford on drums, with Neil Taylor (from The Blue Rays) currently filling in on bass.
The Himalayas have gained the approval and support of local pub-rock audiences by playing a thunderous mix of vintage rock and blues covers along with their own original tunes. The band has earned the respect of established groups on the local club circuit and they have shared the stage and collaborated musically with acts such as The Blue Rays and Sound of Koko.
The Himalayas concentrate on playing classic rock. Artists covered in their shows can include; The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton & Cream, Credence Clearwater Revival, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, plus many more surprises.
