The Stampede started in Sydney in 2011, selling out in its first year and receiving rave reviews from the obstacle event community. The Stampede returned with enormous events in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

The Stampede 2015 is set to feature more mud, fun and challenges then ever before!

Our quality events have featured on national television, with The Biggest Loser Australia selecting The Stampede as a major contestant challenge twice in The Biggest Loser Australia Singles series.

So why is The Stampede is Australia’s leading obstacle event series? Here's just a few reasons:

- We are proudly Australian owned and Australian managed. Most other events held in Australia are run or backed by international companies. We are Aussie Made, Aussie Bred and Aussie Focused!

- Supporting Young Australians. Know that you are the most Awesome competitors in the obstacle event world, as All of our profits go back to supporting Aussie youths through our Charity.

- We're specialists in kick-ass course design. We continually push the limits by conducting thorough research and constructing challenging, fun and unique obstacles and courses.

- Our team. We have a full-time events management team of 10+ with the passion, experience, insight and talent in creating obstacle events.

- Your team. Our events focus on teamwork, fun, mateship and camaraderie, over & above a finish time. The Stampede is about a group challenge instead of an individual challenge.

- We're for everyone. You don’t have to hit the gym for months prior to enjoy The Stampede and whilst it's very challenging, you won't feel like death at the end- it's for everyone!

- We know how to throw a party. We deliver an awesome after party for participants at every event to celebrate your achievements.

- Our locations matter. We research locations widely and only select the best venues for our events - Believe us, the venue matters!

The Stampede is more than a run, The Stampede is an epic challenge focused on fun that will push you and your mates to the limit.Photo: Matt Thompset for 'watoday.com.au'.

The Stampede is not a race. The Stampede is an obstacle course for you to test yourself, help others along the way and have a laugh with your mates. We focus on bringing together friends, colleagues, gym groups and sporting teams to experience the fun of obstacle racing.

Run wild through a gruelling 5km or 10km obstacle course. You’ll crawl through thick mud, climb up cargo nets, slide down the giant slip & slide, run through live wires charged with 10,000 volts and wash it all down with a beer on one crazy day.

After your run, stick around for The Stampede massive after party. There's a bar, music, food and entertainment all day.

Wear your most outrageous costume (there are prizes for best dressed), bring your mates and hold on for the most insane day of the year! You can even extend your stay and camp the night nearby to make a whole weekend of it.

Waves of runners depart every 20 minutes throughout the day. The event is untimed so you will not receive a finish time. There will however be clocks at the finish line if you wish to note your own finish time. We encourage challenging yourself and helping others over & above a finish time so if you want a trophy, bring your own!
