Calling craft lovers of Adelaide! Australia’s original craft show, The Stitches & Craft Show, will debut for the first time at the Adelaide Event & Exhibition Centre from May 7 to 9, 2015.

The show will include a huge variety of expert retailers, unique classes for handmade projects and gifts, exhibitions, educational workshops, guest artist displays, DIY craft ideas and much more.

Sharing their expert knowledge at the show will be award-winning guest artists, quiller extraordinaire Christine Donehue and mixed-media artist, Fiona Hammond. In addition to showcasing their latest works, Fiona will lead hands-on workshops on beading techniques and contemporary jewellery pieces, while Christine will complete classes on basic quilling techniques and card decoration.

A highlight of the show for budding artists will be a display from the best-selling book by Johanna Basford, Secret Garden: An Inky Treasure Hunt and Colouring Book. Visitors to the show are invited to get creative and colour-in a series of enlarged pages from the book using pencils, pens and watercolours.

For those looking to expand their craft knowledge, The Stitches & Craft Show will offer a fantastic range of new tutorials and the latest workshops led by industry experts. Along with up-to-date tips and techniques, attendees can learn skills such as patchworking, quilting techniques, jewellery making, scrapbooking, embroidery and much more.

Not only for the adult craft-enthusiasts, young crafters will be kept entertained at The Stitches & Craft Show thanks to a special kids’ corner, The Craft Cave. Coordinated by I’m A Craftaholic, The Craft Cave will be enjoyed by both parents and children alike with regular make-and-take workshops.
