Voices in the Forest is a spectacular outdoor gala concert held in the amphitheatre at the National Arboretum Canberra. This year’s concert is another magnificent musical showcase. It will feature world-renowned Mexican tenor, Diego Torre; Argentinian born Australian baritone, José Carbó and Australia’s leading soprano, Cheryl Barker AO.

This year’s program will feature well-known operatic arias including a selection of the most beautiful and moving arias from Puccini’s opera - La Bohème. Act 2 is dedicated to this fantastic opera with stunning musical pieces being sung by our three headline performers. A sample of classic love songs from musical theatre and spectacular performances from one of the worlds’ leading modern tenors demonstrates why Voices in the Forest is Canberra’s leading classical concert.

The program will kick off with famous Baroque arias performed by Louise Page and Christina Wilson, Canberra’s own classical singers that have performed Australia wide.

Diego Torre and José Carbó will perform famous duets for tenor and baritone, taken from the classical opera world. Amazing as always will be Cheryl Barker’s rendition of Pietro Mascagni’s - Easter Hymn – taken from Cavalleria Rusticana.

The Voices in the Forest orchestra will be conducted by the inspirational Roland Peelman, and the Voices chorus will bring together Canberra’s finest choirs including the Woden Valley Youth Choir and Oriana Chorale.

Whether your preference is to be seated theatre-style, or to relax with friends and family enjoying a picnic on the grass, Voices in the Forest promises to be a delightful event for everyone. The program will provide a fantastic and varied afternoon’s entertainment, performed at the highest level by world-renowned performers.
