‘A Pop-Up Wine & Foodies Paradise’
Sunday 25th October will see the return of the very popular Wahroonga Food + Wine Festival to Wahroonga Park, Coonanbarra Rd, Wahroonga.
“For our 2015 event we have carefully selected a wide range of exquisite wineries. On the day you can meet the winemakers and taste and buy their premium and award winning wines. Taste over 130 wines from more than 30 wineries and enjoy an array of local produce and a huge selection of gourmet food stalls offering a variety of international and Australian cuisines.” says Festival Producer Margot Natoli
This year, the Swift Sparkling + Oyster Bar will take pride of place in the centre of Wahroonga Park. Fresh ‘Signature’ South Coast oysters grown by Master Oyster Farmer, Ewan McCash, will be hand shucked on site and presented in a variety of styles.
The oysters will be complimented by Swift Sparkling, a quality ‘Methode Champenoise’ sparkling wine produced by Printhie of Orange. Deliciously fresh ‘Signature’ Oysters served straight from the farm accompanied by a glass of chilled Swift Sparkling – what a way to spend a beautiful spring day!
We have also introduced new culinary cuisines this year with signature dishes from Jimmy Liks, Blue Eye Dragon, Berlin Bangers, Petit Bistro, modern Latin street food by Arepa Street, delicious Sofrito Paella, Mexican by Cantina Mobil, Gourmandise de Paris and the legendary Urban Pasta.
Enjoy a range of Hunter Valley Cheese Factory platters and Steph’s sensational French gourmet foods. For dessert, Serendipity Ice Cream will again present their range of premium ice creams and a broad range and styles of coffee will be available from The Little Hooper crew.
Produce market stalls will line the flowerbeds and walkways offering a variety of products such as fresh flowers, olives from Really Stuffed Olive Co, Olive Oils from Pukara Estate, jams from Cheeky Chops Industries, Honey Haven Mudgee honey products, Eat Me Chutneys, Oil Olive Soaps, a mixture of savoury and patisserie from Bite Size Catering, puddings from Pudding Lane and more, so buy your shopping basket from the ‘Market Basket’ and enjoy what our market has to offer.
The event is free and all are welcome. Bring your friends and family to enjoy the live music on the rotunda stage with performances by talented local school and contemporary musicians and entertainers. There will also be entertainment for the children, including inflatable rides and our petting animal farm from the Southern Highlands.
Wine tasting glasses and ticket packages are available starting at $20.
