A multi-dimensional program tailor-made for Melbourne.

With a career spanning more than 20 years, the French choreographer Xavier Le Roy has become one of the major figures in contemporary dance. At the invitation of Kaldor Public Art Projects in Sydney and Dancehouse in Melbourne, Le Roy is returning to Australia where he will remain for more than a month. His program’s highlight is undoubtedly the performance of Self Unfinished (1998), his signature solo work that has been touring the world since its creation. In Melbourne from 27th November until 12th December, Le Roy is at the heart of a rich and exceptionally dense program – Xavier Le Roy _ in public. As well as the performance of Self Unfinished, the program includes a workshop-lab, conversations with the public, an exhibition and film-screenings. Xavier Le Roy _ in public is a journey of discovery, of both a work and a different way of thinking. It offers an unprecedented point of view on art while remaining accessible to the vast majority.
