An ode to womanhood, divine femininity & a big f**k you to profit and greed, Alphamama is honouring the women who raised her with nobility, courage, strength and leadership in her brand new single ‘Ass In The Front’, out Friday July 22nd.

Written in New York with experimental band Poodlehead from Long Island & produced by Brooklyn’s Ahmed Sirour, ‘Ass In The Front’ is a self awakened version of Alphamama embracing her sexuality while standing up to misogyny. Says Alphamama: “I wrote it at a time when I decided that I no longer wanted to make distraction music, I wanted to be someone who actually helped wake people up instead of keeping them asleep.”

‘Ass In The Front’ is the lead track and intro into Alphamama’s forthcoming Ep ‘Honey Fire’ which will tour as part of a theatre show by God Queen Records, ‘Queen C*nt’, featuring Alphamama and Alice Night, a powerful multisensory music theatre show exploring feminine sexuality in our psyche, language, planet and the cosmos. As a spiritually aware artist who is passionate about individual and collective expansion Alphamama also heads God Queen Records representing a tribe of female artists with a purpose to bring about positive social change through art and remind women of their innate power.

Alphamama has performed on stages all around the world recently wrapping up a global art tour of Indonesia, South Korea, Germany, USA and South Africa. She has supported and shared stages with Dead Prez, Jean Grae, Macy Gray, Salt n Pepa, Tuka, LFresh The Lion and toured as a backing vocalist for Australia's own Jessica Mauboy. As an artist who is passionate about community, she is a highly regarded collaborator which has seen her create music with Kween G, P.R, Danny G Felix, True Vibenation and Set Mo. Her recent release with Sydney house duo Set Mo introduced her to the dance music scene internationally with the track ‘Chasing Forever’.

Catch Alphamama w/ Juju Bom and MKO Sun in Brisbane.
