Jahroc Galleries are taking this opportunity to introduce acclaimed Western Australian Artist – Helen Norton as a new artist to the gallery. Helen Norton began her artistic career in Broome where she developed a narrative style, usually containing deeper layers of querie into the human condition. For those who have followed Helen Norton’s career, be prepared to be surprised and delighted by her new body of work which takes on a very different approach to her earlier work. The desire to paint with a sensual simplicity is the underlying inspiration for these paintings ,which are brightly coloured abstracts that are not there to portray hidden deep meanings, rather to give pleasure and enjoyment to the eye of the viewer.
