Experience the aspiring chamber players of the Australian Youth Orchestra with a series of free concerts at Hobart’s delightful Baha’i Centre of Learning.

Directed by two of Australia’s preeminent ensembles, the renowned Goldner String Quartet and innovative trio Plexus, AYO’s gifted musicians will offer two contrasting performances of captivating chamber repertoire. Presenting compositions for string quartets, wind quintets and piano trios, the performances celebrate the passion and ability of Australia’s next generation of classical musicians.

Audiences can anticipate an eclectic and exciting program of classical favourites the likes of Beethoven, 20th century masterpieces by Schumann, Ravel, Britten and Shostakovich, complimented with vibrant, contemporary Australian compositions.

“With the combination of an intensive, creative environment and the youth-infused expertise of its performing artists, this intimate and moving concert experience is not to be missed.” – Limelight Magazine
