Bardology HSC Study Masterclasses aim to connect students with Shakespeare in a fun and engaging way to help them prepare and gain confidence ahead of their HSC exams. Founder Kathryn Parker, a PhD student and an English and Music teacher is passionate about providing students with the tools to better understand Shakespeare's works and bring their analysis and essay writing to the next level, with her masterclasses designed to complement what they have already learned at school.

While the classes are specifically designed for those studying Shakespearean drama texts in English Advanced and Extension, the course will help students enhance their understanding of the English language and consequently, their written work across all HSC subjects. The seminars are structured in a 4 hour session addressing each core aspect of the marking criteria for the related Module connected to the Shakespearean text being studied. Offering boutique-sized classes, students are given a combination of presentation and interactive teaching and learning. There is also an opportunity in the final hour for detailed feedback and development of students’ essay writing in line with the HSC marking criteria by researchers and tutors within the Department of English at The University of Sydney.

The event will be at the Old Darlington School Building.
