Crab Fest is Western Australia's premier tourism event and showcases Mandurah and the Peel Region. The 2-day free event celebrates the region's waterways, local produce, fresh seafood, gourmet delights, wine, local and national entertainment plus a spectacular fireworks display. A 'must visit' event for all the family!

Over 100,000 local, national and international visitors are expected to head to Mandurah on March 19 and 20 for WA’s largest free regional event.

Crab Fest has a long history of offering a unique experience for all ages and tastes, and this year’s event will be no different.

There’s 56 hours of free live on-stage entertainment across the entire weekend including Mandurah’s own Jonny Taylor, X-Factor’s Big T and Sydney Carter, and Russell Morris on the Music Stage.

The Children’s Stage will come alive with family favourites including popular Hoot and Hootabelle, Shaun the Sheep, and Constable Care.

The Marina Stage will showcase a great mix of jazz to African beats, smooth Latin and acoustic rock plus indigenous culture.

Spectacular fireworks will once again erupt over the water on Saturday at 8:30pm, thanks to Cleanaway.

The Good Guys Cooking Stage will include food tips and demonstrations across the weekend with local and national personalities including My Kitchen Rule’s WA contestants Nev & Kel and Anna, TV presenter and Crab Fest Ambassador Rob Palmer, Sunrise’s Matt Tinney, Susannah Carr and Mandurah Mayor Vergone.

With an abundance of seafood dishes throughout the festival, there’s plenty of inspiration from local produce on offer.

The En Plein Air Art Competition will be on once again along the Eastern Foreshore and the Mandurah Ocean Marina providing plenty of opportunities to watch some outstanding artists in action.

A wide variety of stalls will be offering a great range of local hand-crafted homewares, clothing and other interesting items to suit all tastes. There will be markets in the heart of the festival on the Eastern Foreshore as well as the Mandjar Markets in Mandjar Square and stalls in the Smart Street Mall and Mandurah Terrace.

New to this year’s event is the Hangout in Mandjar Square. The Hangout provides a place where you can chill out on deck chairs, play ping pong, have a bite to eat and charge your phone, thanks to Telstra. The area will be surrounded by some spectacular skateboard, BMX and FMX aerial action plus DJ tunes and a glow party.

The festival footprint also extends to the Mandurah Ocean Marina and will include the motor display thanks to Barbagallo Mandurah, the Seven West Chill Out Beach and giant sandcastle and free sand sculptures workshops at Keith Holmes Reserve. Festival-goers are encouraged to head to the Marina beach to witness Mandurah’s biggest ever sand sculpture – over 12 tonnes of sand and 5 days of creative sculpting will go into this unique artwork.

Crab Fest also has a number of ticketed events you may wish to add to your festival experience; including a High Tea, Progressive Dinner Cruise, Long Table Lunch and Comedy night.

Crab Fest is organised by the City of Mandurah and is supported by the State Government through Tourism WA’s Regional Events Program, made possible by Royalties for Regions. The festival is also proudly sponsored by Healthway promoting the LiveLighter message.
