Since launching the Datsik brand, Troy Beetles continues to evolve as a solo artist all the while pushing his beloved bass music world to new lengths, both on a personal artistry level and as a genre as a whole. From bedroom producer to chart-topping artist, internationally touring act and owner and founder of the enterprising Firepower Records, Datsik is poised to make bass music the sound of the future with his recent Down 4 My Ninjas EP (Nov. 2014/Firepower Records) and new release “Smoke Bomb” ft. Snoop Dogg (Nov. 2015/Ultra Records).

Datsik took his initial steps into global dominance in 2009 with the Nuke ‘Em and Boom EPs featuring Excision and the legendary Flux Pavilion as collaborators. In that same year, Datsik claimed 10 Beatport #1 releases. Additionally, he has also released massive remixes for dance music icons Skrillex, Diplo, Kaskade, and Zedd, as well as two collaborations with Bassnectar and two more with Diplo on his Express Yourself EP. Other releases from Datsik’s arsenal include Vitamin D, his debut artist album on Dim Mak Records (2012), the Cold Blooded EP and the corresponding Let It Burn full- length album on Firepower (2013).

As an internationally touring artist, chart-topping producer and founder of Firepower Records, there isn't much left in the bass world that Datsik hasn't conquered. With over 1.2 million Facebook likes and over 3 million Soundcloud followers, his social media stats are proof of an artist who is at the peak of his career - and when it comes to producing, Datsik is all about the brutal domination of fat bass-wobbles and filthy drops. Even taking on mainstream hip-hop and pop, he has remixed tracks from Coldplay, Lil Wayne, MGMT, Linkin Park and Wu-Tang Clan. For an example, check no further than his recent remix of Lana Del Rey's “Ultraviolence” which left fans swooning, and received a whopping 3.56 million plays on Del Rey's Soundcloud and 1.4 million on his own.

In addition, he has an ever-growing list of collaborators within bass music and beyond, such as the mighty Excision, Flux Pavilion, Bassnectar, DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia, Infected Mushroom, Diplo and most recently, Snoop Dogg, with their massive track "Smoke Bomb". It comes as no surprise then that Datsik has dominated charts all over the world - including Beatport, where he has secured over 10 #1 spots. Since Firepower’s inception in 2012, it has helped launch the careers of artists like Protohype, Must Die!, Terravita, Getter, and Fox Stevenson to name a few, as well as Datsik’s latest release and arguably best album Down 4 My Ninjas.

A true pioneer in his game, Datsik has toured worldwide over and played at the most revered stages. Now, he is finally set to make his return to Australia and New Zealand for 9 dates this February.
