“DivaLicious – Licence to Trill!” is a glamorous, musical-comedy roller-coaster that has delighted audiences in a sell-out season at Fringe World 2014 and won a nomination for Best Cabaret 2014 and 2015. From rival sopranos with West Australian Opera to TV talent shows, the audience is invited into the “dressing room” of duelling divas Penny Shaw and Fiona Cooper Smyth in a show that illustrates what friendship, loyalty and the quest for stardom mean in the cut-throat world of show business.

These sirens of song take the audience on a quick trip to Hollywood as they perform songs from the movies: from blockbuster hits to musical theatre and operatic favourites, proving their versatility and vocal prowess in the process whilst allowing the audience to join them in the highs and lows of their Divalicious “journey” so far.

Find out what really goes on behind the scenes as dressing-room gossip is mixed with beautiful music and backstage banter....the perfect operatic cocktail, “shaken, not stirred!”

Reviews:
“While each is a wonderful singer in her own right, there is a rare magic in the way their voices blend and complement each other. What’s more, Shaw and Smyth bounce off each other like a pair of billiard balls in the hands of a master player – and that’s the amazing chemistry that makes this duo unique and memorable.”

“From the moment they walked on in stunning gowns with sparkling bling, the pair had the audience in the palms of their hands.”

“DivaLicious has a knack for shifting an audience’s feelings from laughter to deeper emotions and back again, often in the course of single aria.” - Satima Flavell, Arts Hub 2014. Five Stars!
