Illuminate your inner self and spread around the lights of love, peace,respect and humanity - Diwali Festival of Lights 2016.

South West Indian Group Inc (SWIG) will be hosting the Diwali-Festival of Lights event on the 12th November 2016 in South West Italian Club, between 4:00pm and 7:30pm. Group President Dr Parthasarathy Ramesh is excited about Diwali 2016-Festival of Lights event due to the performers of all ages this year. Audience will be treated to spectacular fire dancers, Vibrant Bhangra dancers along side serene Indian classical performers including heritage dances as well as group performances. Bollywood performances are in as before.

This years focus is on Noongar performances including dance, didgeridoo syncing in to Bollywood music and Noongar song.He said that Diwali is a global celebration of peace, harmony,respect and humanity. There will be Henna stalls, performances by Bunbury City Brass Band, Spanish,Zumba dancers, Harp by Helen Punch, Sitar by David Rawat and Noongar art display. Catering will be provided by the ever popular Spice Journey. This year our Buffet meals will consist of authentic South Indian Dishes.
