Announcing our dumplings & wine event at The Oriental Tea House Melbourne.

Prepare yourself for a five course dumpling extravaganza matched to specific wines. Do you love dumplings? Do you like the sound of dumpling & wine matching?

36 lucky people will experience a dumpling & wine matching experience on Sunday June 26 at this special lunch.

We have also arranged for a wine expert, Bela Rice, to be there to guide you through the food and wine matching and also to answer any questions you have in wine.

Bela Rice has nearly 30 years Wine Industry Experience, Selling, Consulting, Distributing and Educating.

He has also done Wine Show Judging and competed successfully in Wine Tasting Competitions, winning Victorian, Australian, and Australasian Titles.


Course 1: On Arrival
- Edamame - Served in cold Rice

Course 2: Steamed Seafood Basket
- Authentic Prawn Dumplings - this most authentic and tasty dumpling is the heart of yum cha. It sets the benchmark of all dumplings masters as the skin is very hard to make and you need years of experience as a dumpling master.
- Chives and Prawn Dumplings - prawn & chive filling encased in a fine wrapper.
- Scallop Dumplings - minced seafood wrapped & topped with a scallop crown
- Baby Pea Leaf Dumplings- using the leaf of the pea, it is diced and mixed with prawns then encased in a triangular parcel

Course 3
- Panfried Pork and Chive Dumplings - served golden brown on one side with traditional Chinese vinegar
- Fried Pork Wontons- wrapped with minced pork and prawn served with a sweet & sour sauce
- Golden Chicken Dumplings - a crowd pleaser stuffed with minced chicken & Asian herbs
- Roast Duck Dumplings - shredded duck, chicken & veggies in a naturally coloured beetroot wrapper
- Xiao Long Bao - juicy steamed pork dumplings filled with hot soup

Course 4
- Pan Fried Lamb Dumplings - Lamb fillet with garlic, leek & chilli dusted with cumin powder
- Chilli Wagyu Beef Dumplings - wagyu beef marinated in kaffir lime, served with homemade chilli sauce that will leave your lips tingling

Course 5: Dessert
- Chinese Wonka Dumplings - fried sesame & sticky rice spheres filled with melted chocolate and ice cream.
