Come get your feast on! We’re bringing Eid to the City for a night of amazing Middle Eastern street food, markets, music, photography and film.

Eid means festivity and feast. It marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. Ramadan allows people to feel what it's like to go without; it encourages generosity, empathy for those less fortunate, and an appreciation of what one already has. Eid is celebrated with neighbours, friends and relatives coming together with lots of love and great food.

COMMUNE and Act for Peace have teamed up to celebrate Eid and the success of the recent 'Ration Challenge’, which raised over $1.9 million to support Syrian refugees.

We welcome the community to share this holiday with us. All profits going to the Act for Peace Ration Challenge (See www.actforpeace.org.au/rationchallenge)

We're looking for contributors to this event in the fields of Middle Eastern food and beverage, hand-made artisan crafts, design, music, art and fashion. Hit this link to be part of it: http://www.thecommune.co/eid

Eid Mubarak!
(Blessed Eid)
