Listed by: Erin

Erin is gaining recognition in the New Zealand music scene as a hard-working emerging original artist, and in 2016 she's bringing a fresh new sound to Australian shores; her work has developed through three extensive National NZ Tours, nine years of writing and gigging, and of course, many various life experiences, some of which will be familiar to all. She brings these experiences, inspirations and stories to you in her shows through well crafted and intelligently-worded lyrical flair; aside from the light, chatty and often comical introductions, themes in her songs range from love and war, right through to protecting the environment and social observations. Intrigued by the 'Beautiful People' she meets along the way, Erin truly is a 'Folk' artist in the real sense.. she creates music for the people.

Unafraid to stand for what she believes in, yet friendly and approachable, Erin inspires and uplifts with topics that will touch hearts and open minds; conscious roots music, for complicated times. She finds inspiration in a great love for the planet, and all upon it.. as well as in the lighter side of life. Mostly self-taught, her songwriting exudes an unique yet popular style that has evolved through a life of travelling and soul-searching.. Immersing herself in the jungle reggae vibe of tropical North Queensland, backpacking with musical collective ‘The Love Bus’ in Malaysia, founding well-received ‘Animoki’ in Nelson, NZ, and touring with both solo shows and a backing band in recent years, before discovering a more versatile way of presenting complex tracks.. and a love for a loop pedal.

The show is 100% Original and 100% live; what you see is what you get and there's nothing pre-recorded in this show. Once built, the foundations hold up solid song structure and a full, layered sound. Slick, funky bass lines, swinging upbeat rhythm, sweet vocal harmonies, bright leads, and general “Rhythm and Soul”.. building powerful choruses that are accentuated with the kick of her stomp box and ultimately superseded by a passionate, unique vocal style. Roots, Soul, Folk, Blues, Reggae, Singer-Songwriter, Loop Artist, it's hard to pin her down. Listeners who tune in to her philosophical lyrics will be pleasantly rewarded.. This is a songwriter who brings tears to eyes, and smiles to faces.

"There isn't another [artist] with a similar style or tone in their voice.. Unique is good.. It's hard not to feel inspired" - Karin Hoffman, This & That Magazine, Nelson.

It might be hard to pinpoint a genre, but what is clear is that it's popular.

"I've had a world famous live music venue for ten years.. on the way home I ticked up the best music system I could find so I could have her voice at home" - Shayne Kavanagh, Strawberry Tree, Kaikoura.

"Erin is a true bohemian poet. She blends catchy folk charm with deep soulful ballads. Her music speaks from the heart. Always deeply honest and challenging, she blends story telling and her impressions of the world around her to create captivating performances all audiences can enjoy." - Josh, Cowan Creative Timaru.

Erin is joined in Adelaide by ‘The World’s Greatest Spaghetti Western Apocalyptic Folk Blues Singer Songwriter’ Tristan Newsome (The Self Preservation Society - - previously known as frontman of Adelaide rock & roll band The Flying Squad. A seasoned performer, Tristan’s shows are captivating, entertaining and endearing. Tall tales and heart-on-sleeve song writing is his hallmark, visiting traditional forms of writing mixed with modern & historical themes.
