If you’re stuck in a fitness rut, want a fresh challenge or looking for a new way to amp up your training there’s always something new around the corner and you can find it at the 2016 Brisbane Fitness & Health Expo – Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, October 22-23 – the ultimate fitness, health & wellness event.
Here are just some of highlights at the Brisbane Fitness & Health Expo that will help you see your fitness from a new angle:
Ask an expert.
Some of the biggest names in fitness will present expert talks on the new Healthy Living Stage, run free training sessions and open workout sessions over the weekend. Special guests include: pro-surfer Sally Fitzgibbons, UK fitness star Simeon Panda, fitness model and personal trainer Zac Smith and World Record addict Marcus Bondi.
Gear and gadgets.
The biggest and newest brands launch their latest gear at the Expo – from high tech gadgets to the latest in fitness wear and nutritional products it’s all available for you to see, touch and try.
Live and loud.
Nothing’s more inspiring than watching some of Australia’s fittest sportspeople in action. A number of live sporting events will take place across three days including:
- The Commando Challenge – an exciting new showcase of fitness and functional movement powered by AlphaFit, SAGE and Garmin. Whether you are a hard core athlete or a weekend warrior, this challenge will test you, no matter what level you are at.
- The INBA Brisvegas Super Show – a Natural Bodybuilding and Sports Modelling competition, hosted by the International Natural Bodybuilding Association (INBA). This is part of the largest event in Australian natural competition history with the creation of the INBA/PNBA Australian Elite Pro Qualifier League.
- The Australian Raw Powerlifting Championships and International Pacific Powerlifting Invitational, reserved for the strongest men and women in the world, including current Superheavyweight World Champions who will attempt to set new records.
- The Weightlifting Arena - this is the place to be if you are looking for inspiration and motivation from some of Australia's strongest athletes. The top eight city teams and top eight country teams from around Australia will compete in the 2016 Eleiko Club Challenge to find out who is Australia’s best city and country clubs. The team with the biggest total score will be crowned Australia’s Best Weightlifting Club.
For those considering a career in fitness or wanting to further develop a fitness business, there is plenty of support on offer from leading fitness industry training organisations and business service suppliers. The Expo is also co-located with Queensland Fitness Conference (QFIT), which is now facilitated by the Australian Fitness Network, organisers of the highly respected annual industry event Filex.
The Fitness & Health Expo will be held October 22-23 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. It’s open each day from 10am – 5pm.
