Nominated Barry Award, Melbourne Comedy Festival 2015
Nominated Best Newcomer, Melbourne Comedy Festival
Nominated Best Comedy, Sydney Fringe Festival
Damien makes his Perth Fringe debut following what can only be described as a massive 2015. He was nominated for the prestigious Barry Award (Best Show Melbourne Comedy Festival) for his third solo show 'I Can’t Believe I Cared' and audiences and industry insiders alike are calling him the next big thing in Australian Comedy.
In 'Sell Mum into Slavery' Damien asks big questions about the world and ponders the answers in a thought provoking and assured style that impresses and entertains the hell out of you. He has received critical acclaim for drawing comedy from being a parent to science and cosmology. His comedy has been described as existential and philosophical at times but most importantly hilarious.
"Power will make you laugh, but he’ll also make you think…he has the audience in stitches. It’s easy to see how he’s become a rising star of Aussie comedy." - The Herald Sun, 2015
"Power is an engaging speaker, his fearless confidence winning over the room." - Chortle UK
