An evening of spanish and portuguese Art song, and songs from the cancioneros of Violeta Parra and Victor Jara, remembering events of September 11, 1973 in Chile. Canciones of Chilean poet Pablo Nerudo also feature.

Nadia Piave is a Sydney performer, teacher, choral and workshop leader and concert organiser. Her voice is a musical paint box that brings to life all the colours and textures of repertoire from renaissance and baroque madrigals to neapolitan serenades, from chansons and melodies of the Parisian musette and salon to tango songs and songs from French and Italian cinema of the 40s through to 80s. Nadia performs with her own trio Caffe d'Amore, with Mosaic art ensemble and with ensemble Tango Paradiso. This concert is her first foray into the music of the South American nueva cancion.

Gino Pengue is one of Sydney's most in-demand session guitarists and is a founding member of Marsala, Sydney's most eclectic world music party band. He is one of 2/3rds of Nadia Piave's Caffe d'Amore.

Pino Scuro is one of the best kept secrets in performing Sydney - actor, activist, singer and radio show host Pino has performed with Nadia Piave on various occasions and has his own show based on the songs of Italian folk legend Fabrizio De Andre's Anthology of Spoon River.
