The highly-anticipated GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival is set to rock and roll back into Brisbane and Melbourne this August, giving rockabilly lovers their annual dose of high-octane entertainment.

Presented by Robot Productions, the event takes place over two consecutive weekends with more than 15,000 retro fans flocking in to celebrate the joyous culture and rocking sounds that are reminiscent of the 1950s era.

Friday, August 5 to Sunday, August 7, the iconic GreazeFest Brisbane event will kick off for its 17th year at the new location of Cleveland Showgrounds; a spacious venue to welcome the growing popularity of this ultra-kool rockabilly spectacular.

The all-killer no-filler festival highlights key components of kustom kulture including live rockabilly bands, jive dancing, art demonstrations, tattooing, tiki carving, pinup glamour and fashion, and more than 500 dazzling chromed-up hot rods.

Movers and shakers will kick up their heels to a stellar music schedule, headlined by the UK’s John Lewis and His Trio, alongside The Rhythm Shakers and Ruby Dee & The Snakehandlers both from the USA.

California’s ‘Master of the Fine Line’ Von Hot Rod will showcase the art of pinstriping for his fourth year as a GreazeFest special guest, laying kustom stripes and conducting workshops for dedicated students over two weekends.

For the first time, GreazeFest will welcome international pinup icon Sabina Kelley, as she graces Australian shores to meet-and-greet her fans, while revelling in the rockabilly vibes.

The festival landmark that is Mimsy’s Trailer Trash Tattoo will return to Brisbane and Melbourne, inking up patrons in her pink 1959 Sunliner caravan mobile tattoo parlour.

Rockabilly revellers can immerse themselves in ‘hot rod heaven’, admiring the beauty of restored classic cars, vintage bikes and lowrider cycles, whose drivers travel across the nation to show off their gleaming pride and joy, with those showcasing the D.I.Y spirit of kustom kulture having a shot at taking home a GreazeFest trophy crown from selected categories.

For lovers of vintage style, the GreazeFest Pinup Parades will present the fashion and beauty influenced by the glamour icons of the 1940s and 1950s; and the GreazeFest Art Shows will be displaying artist paintings, tiki carvings, metal sculptures, photography and pinstriped works.

The festival hosts more than 100 market stalls, including rockabilly clothing, barbers and hair stylists, vintage wares, automobilia, artwork, tikis, cowboy duds, toy cars, vinyl records and lots more.
