The Heartlands 2016 Arts Project: Stories from Refugee Youth features young people from refugee backgrounds telling their stories about their unique settlement journeys through film.

This screening will feature ten young people on screen and behind the scenes talking about their lives and communities, while celebrating a sense of unity in their shared circumstance as refugees.

Coming from countries including Somalia, Burma, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Egypt and Pakistan, these young filmmakers highlight their passions, hopes, dreams and journeys in a series of narratively disparate but emotionally connected short films.

The compile is 23 minutes long. Monday 25 July – Thursday 28 July 2016.
