Emmy Award winning cinematographer, Bob Poole has been brought to Australia by National Geographic Live to share some of the extraordinary tales and stunning footage of his incredible and inspiring fight to save and re-wild Africa’s lost Eden: Gorongosa.

In this unforgettable live talk, audiences will hear daring tales of elephant rescues, see extraordinary images of majestic animals, and learn how the wild places we’ve broken can be put back together.

Bob will draw on his experience to reveal the rebirth of Mozambique’s Gorongosa National Park, a jewel of Africa’s parks system until civil war almost destroyed it. There, he joined forces with rangers and scientists on perhaps the biggest conservation project on the planet. He’ll share secrets of filming lions, crocs, elephants, and spectacular scenery, and disclose how he cracked the “Gorongosa code” - and a man’s brave journey of discovery and redemption filming the spectacular wildlife of a paradise once lost.
