Fancy some outdoor giant Jenga? Can you hit the high score in Just Dance or Mario Kart? Want to discover the latest Aussie indie games? Or perhaps still on the hunt for the rarest Pokémon?
Melbourne game-lovers of all persuasions are in for a massive treat on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd September, as Pax Australia brings a taste of Pax Aus to Federation Square in anticipation of the video game festival’s fourth year in Melbourne.
Game-lovers won’t know where to start at Pax Aus at Federation Square. There will be high-score tournaments on the big screen, giant Jenga and Connect Four battles, tabletop board games and even a Friday night concert from local Melbourne video game bands. With gaming areas, competitions to enter and multiple prizes up for grabs including Pax Aus 3-Day badges and other gaming paraphernalia, cosplay photo-ops and huge Pokémon Go walks, there’s no better place for Melbourne gamers to spend their weekend!
There will also be a showcase of Melbourne’s finest locally developed, independent video games on display for fans to explore and enjoy!
Pax Australia fans who have yet to purchase their tickets should be sure to stop down to Federation Square to be the first to receive the physical badges before their mail-out day later in October.
Interested in attending? Be sure to RSVP to the PAX at Federation Square event on Facebook and stay tuned there for the latest news!
Pax Aus single day and three day badges are still available and can be purchased through the Pax Aus website at www.paxaustralia.com.au/registration. For more information on Federation Square visit http://www.fedsquare.com/.
