Cantaloop DJs
Eclectic jams and worldwide vibes with residents Kelly & Mick, and a rotating posse of very special guests. Sip back on a sonic sangria of hip hop, funk, reggae, afrobeat, house, garage, electro, disco… and plenty of dope records that don’t belong in any category.

Jayo (Yum Yum)
Originally from the far south coast of NSW, Jayo has been collecting soul, funk, hip hop, reggae, dub, electronica and rock n roll vinyl since the mid Nineties. He made the natural progression from bedroom DJ to house parties and then to clubs and bars.

Over the last 5 years Jayo has put a lot more time into the production side of things starting with "The Rock Steady", a 12 piece dubbed out hip hop and funk band which sprung up organically from a monthly Dub Reggae party of the same name for which Jayo was a founding DJ and promoter alongside Raf from Capital Dub Style. The band consisted of members of Brass Knuckle Brass Band, featured vocalists including Immy, Roshambo and Jnr Rebel with Timber and Jayo on production. The Rock Steady played many shows and festivals in and around Canberra for a couple of years.

After a string of shows as the live set DJ for "Budspells" Jayo moved from a heavy dub sound to a more soul, hip hop style of production, forming a duo called "Yum Yum" with vocalist Natalie Slade and independently releasing a very well received EP "Slade Meets Jayo". This has led to supports for Tall Black Guy, Bankrupt Billionaires, collaborating and performing a track remixed with Triple J Hip Hop show host Hau and a release on Obese Records for a remix of Blue mountains dub funk band Cooking with Caustic. They have been playing loads of local Sydney shows, played at the 2015 Sydney festival, Newtown festival, shows in Brisbane, Canberra and Newcastle, released 2 video clips, were featured on Balcony TV Sydney and listed by UK Online mag "Flavour Mag" in their top Australian emerging artists.

As both a DJ and producer, Jayo has had the opportunity to support respected artists such as Oddisee, Houseshoes, Blu (Blue & Exile), Sidestepper (Colombia), Katalyst, Hau, Hermitude, The Red Eyes, Kingfisha, Lotek, D’opus & Roshambo, Spit Syndicate and Salmonella Dub amongst others.
