The new and exciting concert drama Rolling Thunder Vietnam – Songs That Defined A Generation returns by public demand in July 2016. The celebrated production combines personal stories of young Vietnam War soldiers with the great rock songs of the era. This dynamic theatrical concert draws audiences inside the combat, protest and bittersweet homecoming of the world’s first televised war.

Rolling Thunder Vietnam is more than a concert, more than a drama and more than the sum of its parts. It transports audiences to an era of unrest, political turmoil and a generation on the brink of momentous social change. It is also a love story and a work that affirms human resilience and the genius of songwriters in the ‘60s and ‘70s.

The storytelling wraps around such classic songs as Magic Carpet Ride, Fortunate Son, All Along the Watchtower, Run Through the Jungle, Born To Be Wild, Black Magic Woman, Killing Me Softly With His Song, We’ve Gotta Get Out of This Place and Bridge Over Troubled Water just to name a few.

Featuring stunning projected images and news footage, Rolling Thunder Vietnam is a powerful and moving experience. Its return season in 2016 commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan in which young Australian lives were lost.

The home-grown production is directed by David Berthold, written by Bryce Hallett and has the esteemed musical director Chong Lim at its helm.

Don’t miss this emotional journey!
