Lucky Suzie celebrates Malaysian Independence Day on August 31 with a South-East Asian seafood tasting menu, in collaboration with Quay Sous Chef Lawrence Pang.
Drawing on childhoods spent in Malaysia, Lucky Suzie’s Executive Chef Zach Tan is partnering with Quay Sous Chef Lawrence Pang (ex-Bather’s Pavilion, Cottage Point Inn and Sokyo), to create an eight-course pan-Asian inspireds seafood tasting menu, complete with matching drinks by Lucky Suzie’s resident Mixologist Marco Oshiro.
Celebrating all things South-East Asian, the menu will feature Tan’s signature Malaysian flavours along with Pang’s Asian-fusion style, with a focus on Australian seafood. Dishes include: charcoal-grilled marron from Donnybrook, WA with café de Penang butter; and King George whiting from Port Phillip Bay with curried mousse. Sweet treats include a strawberry lassi, and an avocado soufflé with condensed milk anglaise.
Bookings are essential and can be made online, via eat@luckysuzie.com.au or by calling 02 7901 0396. Reservations can be made from 5:30pm.
