Jane's is chuffed to present the swingin' sounds of The Escalators.

With more grooves than a record store, The Escalators tip their fedoras to the sophistication of Swing, the funk of New Orleans, & the rhythmic pulse of Jamaica.

Their Jane's show will coincide with the release of their new CD “From The Hip” as they traverse the East Coast.

The Escalators craft original compositions that honour their swing, soul & reggae roots, and pay their respects with unique takes on jazz standards.

The gorgeous tone of Jenny Blunden's voice embraces you & steals your heart. Lachlan Mackenzie’s lush guitar stylings are draped over a rhythmic framework rich in interplay between Bradley Parson's upright bass & the drum kit captained by Hayden Moore.

Kay Proudlove is a singer-songwriter armed with an acoustic guitar and a bunch of wordy songs. Taking influence from a range of genres, Kay’s indie folk style is hybridised with a touch of jazz and a hint of musical theatre. A display of honesty, story telling and a general acceptance of awkwardness, Kay's live performance is much like being invited to her lounge room.

Playing house concerts and intimate gigs around Australia, Kay has been one of indie-folk’s best kept secrets, gaining a steady following of music goers who have a soft spot for a songstress with an accidental sense of humour.
