Hosted at the magnificent Werribee Mansion, The Lost Lands is a weekend away from the every day that’s still an easily accessible journey from the Melbourne city centre. Held over the Melbourne Cup Long Weekend (29-30 October), The Lost Lands is an exciting mix of music acts and activities that cater for a wide array of tastes and interests.

The Lost Lands is the brainchild of Simon Daly, founder of the iconic Falls Festival. Simon came up with the idea after inviting friends and their kids to camp at his family's bush block, down the coast. The families invited enjoyed a weekend of music, activities and the outdoors. He found a huge appetite for this kind of shared experience between kids, their parents, other families and friends. A seed was planted. Simon started talking to adults, kids, people in the industry. A trip to Camp Bestival in the UK – a very similar and successful festival model – proved his point. After two years incubating, Simon and his family are excited to introduce The Lost Lands.

The impressive music line up is headlined by International bands Mariachi El Bronx and Ozomatli and features Australian favourites The Waifs, Missy Higgins, The Grates, Architecture in Helsinki, The Bamboos with Tim Rogers, Tash Sultana & Harts.

Held over two days (29 and 30 October 2016) in the beautiful grounds of the Werribee Mansion, The Lost Lands brings together the best local and international music talent, as well as a captivating arts program, cultural activities, comedy, performance, and dedicated kids entertainment. The Lost Lands will also feature a quality selection of Melbourne restaurants, street eats, the best craft brews and wine.
