What is beauty? How do we see it? Can we ever really capture it? And what does it actually take to be beautiful? These are the kinds of existential questions Taryn asks herself on a daily basis. She asks them somewhere between the fidget of her foot, a quiet fart, and a full-blown case of fripples. Perfectly justified for an art model. A nude one.

Part portrait-in-song, part interactive art class, Taryn bares all with frank sincerity (and a certain amount of over-sharing) in her fearless pursuit of answers. This is a story of art, air-brushing, humanity, and naked bodies. Audiences are encouraged to sketch throughout the performance, and will be guided through a series of simple life drawing exercises, so make sure to pack your pencils! (A limited amount of art materials will also be available at the venue).

Nominated for a Fringeworld Award in 2015, "The Naked Truth" is a heartwarming and engaging show, perfect for date nights or fun times with friends. Suitable for artists of all (and even limited) abilities.

Written and performed by Taryn Ryan, with Emma Vanderwal (cello)
