Taryn Fiebig Concert - From High School to Opera Australia. Helpmann Award-winning soprano brings her voice home for one night only concert!

Stunning Perth born, Churchlands High School educated world class soprano, Taryn Fiebig returns to Perth for a special performance in the stunning Churchlands Concert Hall.

Lovers of Cabaret, Lerner and Lowe (My Fair Lady), Puccini (La Boehme), Mozart (The Marriage of Figaro), Handel (Alcina) and Wagner on the edge of their seats as they savour her performance.

One of Australia’s most popular and versatile artists Taryn is principal soprano with Opera Australia. She has performed with all the major Australian opera companies as well wowing audiences at the Edinburgh Festival in Opera Australia’s production of Bliss.

Trained at Western Australia’s Churchlands SHS School of Music and at UWA Taryn’s first love was the cello before she found her operatic and musical theatre voice to magnificent effect going on to dazzle Australian and international audiences.

In a memorable performance at a special presentation at Buckingham Palace it seemed even Prince Charles was almost moved tears by the astonishing performance of the soprano and cellist when she sang and played on the Prince’s own cello – a beloved instrument from his youth – when the Prince of Wales hosted a musical evening in his role as president of London’s Royal College of Music.

Accompanying Taryn during her one night only From School to Opera Australia performance will be Perth concert pianist Mark Coughlan well known for his music and role as chair of the Government House Foundation music series.

A number of present and past Churchlands Senior High School ‘shining star’ students are also expected to showcase their emerging talent having been offered the privilege to join Taryn on stage.

The Taryn Fiebig concert will be presented in the magnificent architecturally designed, five hundred seat Concert Hall, which boasts unequalled acoustics and a $250,000 full sized Fazioli grand piano – one of only three in Western Australia.

Tickets for the one night performance at the Churchlands Senior High School Concert Hall (located at 20 Lucca Street, Churchlands) will sell quickly.

The event will be held at the Concert Hall.
