US country music megastar Jason Aldean today announces two anticipated headline shows on his first-ever visit to Australia in March 2016. The hit-maker will play at Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne on Tuesday 8th March and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday 9th March.

Adding to the already announced headline slot at CMC Rocks QLD 2016, Aldean’s dual solo shows will see the reigning ACM Awards Male Vocalist of the Year explode on-stage in a high-octane country-rock extravaganza. He’ll be showing Australian audiences exactly why he has headlined sold-out stadiums across the States, has six platinum albums to his credit, and is the highest-selling digital male country artist in history.

Old Boots, New Dirt is the latest release from Jason Aldean, a record that topped the Billboard Album Chart on debut and was the first US Country album to be released and certified platinum in 2014. From start to finish, the album packs the bold, hard-rocking, guitar-driven punch that’s been landing Aldean on country radio charts since his very first single 'Hicktown' in 2005. 'Burnin' It Down', the lead single from Old Boots, New Dirt, picked up airplay faster than any of Aldean’s previous singles and shot him to global stardom.

Joining Jason Aldean as Special Guests on both shows and also in Australia for the first time are US country-rockers Florida Georgia Line. Current ACM and CMA Duo of the Year, Florida Georgia Line are the only act in history to join Brooks & Dunn in achieving four back-to-back, multi-week #1 singles.

Florida Georgia Line’s 2014 release Anything Goes soared to No.1 on Billboard’s Album Chart. The duo has collaborated across genres with sensations like Nelly and Jason Derulo, racking up a plethora of industry accolades in the process. They closed out 2014 by topping four of Billboard’s year-end charts and leading the Forbes ’30 Under 30’ list.

March 2016’s Australian tour will build upon Aldean & Florida Georgia Line’s already solid musical relationship. FGL’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley co-wrote Aldean’s mega-hit ‘Burnin’ It Down’ alongside heavyweights Rodney Clawson and Chris Tompkins, their influence evident in the track’s laidback hip-hop-influenced loop. The award-winning country acts have also toured the US side-by-side, so who knows what to expect when they hit the road in March next year!

Music lovers can catch Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line alongside an All-Star line-up that includes Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, Kip Moore, Kelsea Ballerini, Morgan Evans, The Road Hammers and more at CMC Rocks QLD 2016 – But be quick, tickets are selling fast!
