Charity restaurant Lentil as Anything Thornsbury turns two. A night of live music, art, entertainment and healthy food to celebrate a special birthday with a kid-friendly event in Melbourne East End.

To celebrate the second birthday of the not-for-profit restaurant and thank all the amazing people that support us every day, we will share hours of entertainment, food and music. Together with our delicious vegan dishes, the party will feature live music from our friends Tenderloins, Mama Raka & the Double Dosa, True Love Chaos and DJ tv Weird.

Keep an eye on the walls because you will find some attractive posters featuring photos from our volunteers. “Essentials of Lentils” is a visual project born a few months ago to promote Lentils community and share our values, featuring 13 funny images that will be exposed in the restaurant and later distributed in a larger scale.

Ever since Thornbury restaurant opened in 2015, we have been serving healthy and tasty meals while promoting inclusion and participation. Not only we offer food without borders and without prices, but we also promote talents and activities in our public space, including a brand new workshop area, a proper music stage and a kid playing corner. All this is financed by donations, demonstrating once again that the sharing philosophy is sustainable.

Moreover, those delicious vegetarian dishes that make us proud and attract hungry people from all over Melbourne are made out of the best quality ingredients we can source and afford. Local and seasonal ingredients, organic products often donated and rescued to minimize either costs, food waste and our footprint.

Come join us alone, with your friends or family, we are 100% inclusive and kid friendly.

Donations are welcome!
