Tasmanian Song Company’s A Hint of Christmas Concert with a host of stars!

There’s something in the air, there’s hope everywhere, that’s A Hint of Christmas coming here with Tasmanian Song Company! Before all the hustle and bustle of Christmas takes over, relax with Tasmanian Song Company and friends singing new songs, old favourites and a hint of Christmas songs.

Musical Director, Matthew Ives is excited about the star studded line up that joins the choir for the ‘Hint of Christmas’ concert.

“With an Andrews Sisters tribute from Eleanor Webster, Blythe Tait, and Di Richards, a Manhattan Transfer style group with Matthew Ives, Eleanor Webster, Blythe Tait, and David Abbott, and the barbershop quartet from St Virgil’s College, The Eddies, the vocal gifts will be aplenty” Matthew said.

President Maree Richards said that the choir is excited about performing at The Sepulchre, a new venue in the heart of Hobart.

“The Sepulchre is a divine derelict, heritage-listed, gothic church at 47 Davey Street, Hobart that will produce a spine tinging sound guaranteed to please.

“With our brilliant accompanist Thomas Misson on piano, we will also have bass and drums, and everyone will be singing along with us to those Christmas carols we know and love in this beautiful new performance space:

“A varied program of accompanied and a cappella numbers includes A Round of Three Country Dances, O Come O Come Emmanuel, White Christmas, Java Jive, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Walking In The Air and much more” Maree explained.
