Not-for-profit organisation, Richmond Wellbeing, has officially opened its inaugural ‘The Art of Wellbeing’ competition and exhibition. The Art of Wellbeing exhibition has provided members of the West Australian Aboriginal community with an opportunity to share their culture through their art, by submitting their interpretation of wellbeing in their chosen art form.

The 20 finalist artworks—as well as a collaborative piece of art by celebrated contemporary Australian artist Janine Daddo and respected Noongar artist Wendy Hayden—will be on display until 14 November before they go up for auction, with a significant part of the proceeds directed towards Richmond Wellbeing’s Aboriginal mental health programs.

The public is encouraged to visit Allendale Square to view these original pieces of Aboriginal art. Bidding can take place online by visiting the website or at the exhibition site on the night of 14 November.
