Leigh Askew obtained a Bachelor of Music degree from The Australian Catholic University in 1998. He studied Pipe Organ under the tutorage of Beverley Phillips and Christopher Cook. He is currently the resident organist at The Cathedral Church of Christ the King, Ballarat, and holds the posts of organist and organ tutor at Ballarat Grammar School. Leigh is a sought after organist in the Ballarat and wider districts.
