The Nerang RSL and Memorial Club is gearing up for a record crowd at its 2017 Anzac Day Service that aims to commemorate and preserve history through a large-scale 3D production.

Renowned as one of the Gold Coast's biggest dawn services', the club prides itself on respecting tradition, while ensuring the younger generation is captivated and engaged throughout the morning.

The Nerang RSL Sub-Branch has partnered with Nerang State High School to involve their students in its ANZAC Day services for the past few years, and the relationship has strengthened so much so that their involvement is embedded in the school curriculum.

In 2015, the Nerang RSL launched a 3D holographic production that allowed the community to truly immerse themselves in the meaning of the day.

This year's production has been elevated to a new level and with them working with Nerang State High for several months to fine tune it.

Although a small club, Nerang RSL like to put in a lot of effort when it comes to preserving and respecting history.

As part of this year's 3D production, the students will tell the story of The Battle of Beersheba, that is commemorating its centenary.

The Nerang RSL Dawn Service will commence at 4:45am to beat the sunrise, with the holographic production seeking to recapture the quiet moments in the near-darkness, when soldiers had an opportunity to bond and reflect.
