Over two Monday nights at Deckchair we take a look inside life in Indonesia and Cambodia as seen through their rock music scenes in two powerful documentaries.
Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten rediscovers a lost era of Cambodian rock 'n' roll, providing a powerful new perspective on a country frequently associated with war and genocide. It is a celebration of the unique, fertile rock scene of Cambodia in the 60s and 70s and the incredible music it produced – from its twangy-guitar beginnings in the late 50s to the eventual embracing of R 'n' B, rock and hippie-inspired psychedelia. This documentary charts the evolution of the music scene as it blossoms and then is nearly destroyed along with the rest of the country.
