Baw Baw Networking Breakfast With Maree McPherson

Baw Baw Business & Community Network Events is a quarterly breakfast function supported by Telstra and Federation Training for business and community members to share, support and be inspired.

The guest speaker for the third event of 2017 is Maree McPherson, an experienced not for profit, government and community leader, and small business owner who will be talking about executive coaching.

Coaching has become the approach of choice in management development and as such has established itself as a standard in some industries. There are significant benefits to organisations from coaching. Does executive coaching provide a return on investment? Can we measure it in financial terms, or are we foolish to even try?

Maree is a coach, mentor, facilitator, and writer and works with corporate organisations, not-for-profits and individuals. In her leadership development practice, Maree helps people aspire beyond what they think they are capable of.

Because she is passionate about community leadership, Maree chaired the advisory committee for the Gippsland Community Leadership Program for several years. Her fundamental belief in the power of education to change lives led Maree to become a member of the Victorian Adult, Community and Further Education Board for over five years. Her commitment to developing regional Victoria saw Maree appointed by the Victorian Government to Chair the Gippsland Regional Partnerships committee for a four-year term from August 2016. Maree is also member of the Victorian Government’s Regional Development Advisory Committee.

Maree is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. With tertiary qualifications in executive and organisational coaching, business and social welfare, Maree has strengthened the work of people from a range of industries.
