To commemorate the centenary of the Battle of Beersheba, RSL Queensland will host a Fun Day at South Bank Parklands with the 2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment (Queensland Mounted Infantry).

The kids will be able to get up close to the Regiment's armoured vehicles and talk to the soldiers about them, as well as step back to WWI with horses and riders from the Queensland Mounted Infantry Historical Troop.

There’ll be rock and Big Band music from the 1st Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery Band plus an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, hashtag photo booth, and plenty of other fun activities.

And don’t forget to tag your Instagram pics #BeershebaBNE or #MyRSL so you can print copies from the hashtag photo booth!

The Fun Day follows on from the mounted Freedom of Entry March held by the 2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment (Queensland Mounted Infantry), which features the largest procession of armoured vehicles ever seen in Brisbane.

More than 60 vehicles, including the M1A1 Main Battle Tank, Australian Light Armoured Vehicle (ASLAV) and M113 AS4 Personnel Carriers will roll down Adelaide Street before being inspected outside King George Square.
