Improv for Life: Fun. Freedom. Flexibility.

Boost after-school improvisation classes are ideal for young children keen to explore and create, eager to learn about themselves and each other in an atmosphere of fun. Built around improv games and skills, our technology-free space is deliberately nurturing; there are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ ideas and kids can become comfortable with—and learn from—making mistakes. From helping them cope with change, to boosting their social skills and reducing aggression, research has shown improv to be a powerful tool for children. Drawing on our bespoke Hive of Nine Be’s™.

The course is created by Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) improv lecturer and Just Improvise co-founder Glenn Hall. Glenn has been teaching and performing improv internationally for more than 20 years including helping to guide the careers of or performing with successful actors and comedians

Just Improvise utilises process driven drama, reducing the pressure from students to have to ‘perform’ or ‘get it right’. Improvisation is a process, where the product is created continuously. Parents and care-givers are invited to observe the last class of term, for more of an insight into this process and its over-arching benefits.

Class sizes are kept small to allow us tailor the curriculum to each group’s unique needs.
