Ghetto-Dubsters, Bootleg Rascal from Sydney and Gold Coast are masters of hip-hop infused jams and sonic brews: blending infectious alternative rhythms with "exquisitely raspy vocals (themusic.com, May 2015)."

The reprobates that make up Bootleg Rascal, as dodgy as the name suggests, include Carlos, Jimmy, and Jack.

2017 has seen the Bootleg Rascal boys undertake their first ever headline tour of NZ with a clean sweep selling out all shows in Wellington, Auckland, Queenstown and Christchurch. Off the back of their completely sold out Aus tour, the band jumped a plane and flew straight to Europe and then to the UK to play a couple of shows, hitting capacity in Leeds and Amsterdam. Heading back to the land of Aus, the band are lined up to play Hey Sunshine at the Gold Coast this coming October.

With a couple of months down time back on home soil, the band are currently working on their second full length album alongside longtime collaborator/producer Ian Pritchett (Boo Seeka, Kim Churchill, Lyall Moloney). Their first single ‘Love Her Like I Love You’ (2016) is the first taste of what’s to come from their forthcoming second LP. A record that emphasizes their melodic knack, unique use of loops and explores a recent obsession for 80’s sounds and drum pads taking cues from Happy Mondays, Bowie and Peter Gabriel.

Supporting Bootleg Rascal is an array of talented local and out of town artists including Moon Dogs, Mar Haze and Tall Hearts.

Moon Dogs
Moon Dogs are a fusion of psychedelic, reggae, rock and blues, with strong hooks that are fronted by catchy melodies. They have been lucky enough to play with some amazing bands over the last 18 months such as Blue King Brown, The Sea Gypsies, Mar Haze and Mañana. Topping their list of achievements is being announced for Sweaty Palms festival 2017, Bohemian Beatfreaks festival 2017 and Mountain Sounds Festival 2018. This up and coming band is one not to be missed!

Mar Haze
Mar Haze is a 4-piece Australian band, who focus their music around the Dub Rock genre. Their energetic stage performances, unique sound and strong following has recently seen them invited to support Australia's leading roots acts 'The Beautiful girls' and 'Ash Grunwald', performing in front of capacity crowds.

Jumping around & crazy on-stage antics are apart of their performance. Expect crowd participation, standing on drum kits and sing alongs. Oh and if your a band that plays before or after them expect them to be moshing in the crowd.

Tall Hearts
Take a pinch of funk, a teaspoon of reggae, a pint of blues and you've got the main ingredients for the 6-piece band Tall Hearts! Tall Hearts is made up of Elliott (vocals), Liam (guitar), Ryan (bass), Daniel (saxophone), Michael (trumpet), James (drums & percussion). And from there passion for artists such as Trombone Shorty, Vintage Trouble, The California Honeydrops and Derek Trucks just to name a few... with their obsession for influential artists and striking live sets, they will have your ears up, eyes fixated and feet groovin on board the Funk train in no time at all.

Delicious home style cooked dinners and desserts are available for purchase. The Rhythm Hut is fully licensed with assorted beers, wines and ciders, including locally made Six String beers. Under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 25.
