Burradise Festival at Culburra Beach is a celebration of a coastal surf village 2 hours from Sydney with reggae, blues and rock music, handmade markets, multicultural food fair, high tea, Burra Bash surf comp, cultural tours, and the launch of our skate park, all this Mother’s Day. Home town of surf champs Tyler, Owen and Mikey Wright we have two surf beaches, Crookhaven River, Lake Woolumboola and lots of beautiful holiday homes to relax in. Treat the family to a special escape in Burradise!

Music
Get into some cool coastal vibes at Burradise with reggae, blues, rock, dance and acoustic acts on Friday and Saturday nights in Fred Evans Laneway, including 19-Twenty and The Strides. Or check out the surf finals and rock out to the Young Coasties Music Festival LIVE on the beach from 10-4pm Sunday.

Markets
Markets on Saturday have a homemade, handmade sustainable feel with local traders, makers and produce plus sustainability workshops on offer. The CookaBurra food fair is a trip around the world with multicultural chefs offering samples so you can try and buy something new and delicious.

Surf
The inaugural Burra Bash Surf Tournament is going to rock Warrain Beach on Saturday and Sunday with Men’s Open competition with $2000 first prize on offer. Check out the breaks that are the breeding grounds of champions Tyler, Owen and Mikey Wright.

Art
‘The Sunbaker’ is a famous photo in the Van Dyke series, taken right here at Culburra Beach 80 years ago. We are lucky to have this exhibition on loan and showcase it next to this contemporary gem ‘Jerrinja Exposed’, a photographic project with local Aboriginal youth who used photography to capture subjects that represent their language. Add in a ‘Cornucopia’ of local artists mixed media wears, mixed media from local artists and dragged from the homes of Culburra residents!

We also have our skate and recreation park scheduled to open with dj-ing, skate demos and deck artwork on offer. We’ll be offering free walks to Lake Wollumboola, a birdwatchers paradise, as well as the Men’s Shed Open Day and heaps of great retail to explore at our local shops. Come and enjoy our slice of Burradise!

There are multiple hubs of free activities plus ticketed music gigs—4 bands showcasing reggae, rock, blues, acoustic and dance at Fred Evan’s Lane.
