The Inclusion and Diversity in Sport conference will discuss how sport continues to play a pivotal role in shaping and leading a more inclusive Australia for all people. Over two days, guests will engage in workshops and hear from high profile speakers including business and media personality Russel Howcroft (ABC Gruen); Dr Niki Vincent, Commissioner for Equal Opportunity in South Australia, and former AFL player Jason Ball a high-profile advocate for LGBIT equality in sport. The conference is a must for high-level sporting officials through to local coaches.

When facing 'difference' for the first time, the feeling of hesitation and confusion is widely felt: What if I say the wrong thing? What if I offend someone? Will I use avoidance as a strategy to eliminate these feelings? Conference organisers invite you to join them to engage in meaningful conversation around Inclusion and Diversity.

IDS17 will empower you with the knowledge to achieve positive 'First Contact' in Sport and Recreation.

Supported by the Office of Recreation and Sport, SA Equal Opportunity Commission, Diversity Inclusion, Inclusive Sport Design, SHAPE - Flinders University.
