Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club's Crew Experience Program is aimed at matching yacht owners with crew members (16 years +) interested in participating in racing. This is a free service provided to members and non-members willing to crew on a casual or regular basis. There are 2 options for you to discover a crew sailing experience. One is through our Bulletin Boards located on the Club's website and the other is through our Saturday Crew Placement Register.

The Saturday Crew Placement Register runs on Saturdays from 21 October 2017 through (except on 23 and 30 Dec, 3 Mar and Easter) until 21 April 2018. Each week there are yachts looking for casual crew to fill in for absent crew members or some are even looking for permanent crew. To secure a position simply come down to the Club any Saturday between 11:45 and 13:00 (earlier on 4 Nov & 3 Feb) dressed ready to go sailing ie: shorts, top, jumper, spray jacket, deck shoes or non-marking sneakers, hat and sunscreen. Racing usually starts from around 14:00 and expect to return to shore by around 17:00.

Please report to Crew Placement Desk between 11:45 and 13:00 (earlier on 4 Nov & 3 Feb) where our Crew Coordinator will identify a yacht for you to sail on. The Crew Placement Register is an ideal starting point for people interested in sailing and getting a ride on a yacht.
