The South West Rail and Heritage Centre is feeling festive and our December Open Day “Training for Christmas” on December 17 will celebrate the joyful season with many Christmas based activities. There will be special children’s Christmas stories, the opportunity to decorate our “Norm Flynn Express” for Christmas and our Christmas tree and a great range of unusual, hand made Christmas gifts made by our Boyanup Foundation Blacksmiths and the Capel Men’s Shed and special Christmas fare in the Picnic Van. And, of course for those looking for a gift for your train tragic, we stock a great range of railway themed books and items.

Along with this all of the resident groups, the blacksmiths, men’s shed, the model train layout (that keeps mysteriously growing!!) and the old machinery restorers will be operating for your pleasure and interest. The Centre on Turner St Boyanup will be open from 10am to 2pm and entry will be by donation. This is a great day out for the family.

For more information, please email Norm on swrhc@railheritagewa.org.au or call 0459 712 552.
