We took the apple off the tree and now we are tossing the salad. Whether it is the oyster or the eggplant, food has a rich sexual narrative that is waiting to be pried open.

Teasing out the complementary subjects that have lead us to describe food as “orgasmic” and sex as “delicious”, Eating Out is a sploshing of sensuous foods and coital conversations. Going beyond the banana, Eating Out brings together a range of thought and pairs it with a sumptuous feast, creating a space to question our intimate relationships with food. Disregarding the notion of appropriate dinner-table conversation, Eating Out is a conversation through food, questioning the line between where our food ends and our body begins. So dim the lights, wet the lips, and have a little taste...

What to expect?
Taking place at the Quartermasters Arms, Eating out will contain multiple courses, served several ways. Each course serves as a window into the rituals, practices, and symbology that have bound sex to food. Eating Out aims to provide a more encompassing and embodied (but please keep your pants on) dining experience, far from the traditional norms of hospitality. It will be a rich and suggestive sitting, exploring not only what we eat but how we eat it, with all the mess and noise you might expect.
