Daylesford Cider will be teaming up with Brookland’s Free-Range Farms once again, for this fantastic family day out during Spring school holidays.

Similar to previous pork & cider events, the day will be focussed on local produce and sustainable farming, with interaction with both producers, however its relaxed approach will make it suitable for families, friends and couples alike.

The day will start at 10:30am with a morning tour of Brookland’s Free-Range Farm with farmers Jono, Nats & their daughter Ruby. While surrounded by the picturesque & fertile volcanic valley of Blampied, your family can see & learn about the ethical raising of rare-breed Berkshire Pigs, British White Cattle & Finn Sheep. There might even be some piglets & lambs to pat and cuddle!

Lunch & the rest of the afternoon will be spent in the lovely grounds at Daylesford Cider, about 20 minutes drive east of Brookland’s Free-Range Farm. Upon arrival at their cellar door, you will be welcomed by head cider maker Mackie & his wife Clare, who will be holding tastings of their wide range of multi award winning craft ciders. There will also be non-alcoholic cider for the kids to enjoy.

A relaxed lunch will commence at 12:30, showcasing pork & beef raised at Brookland’s Farm. The set menu will also be kid-friendly, however should there be any specific dietary requirements, please inform Daylesford Cider no later than Thursday 28th September.

The rest of the afternoon can be spent enjoying live music in the courtyard, beautiful lawns & garden surrounds with games such as Giant Jenga, Bocce & Croquet. There will be an opportunity to visit the organic apple orchard & cider mill to see where the cider is made. So let your kids run free while you kick back with a cider in hand and enjoy a beautiful day out together this coming school holidays.
